                    Glass Ball - Real-DRAW                    
                                                           
  Real-DRAW can help you create a 3D ball with a couple of button clicks. Want something a little different? Good! Let's get going. :-).      
           
  Make a 92 pixel circle.
Center it.
Make 3 copies and move them to the side.
     
           
  Fill the circle with color R118 G70 B0.      
           
  Center another circle on top of the first circle.
Fill the circle with color R228 G202 B11.
Use your arrow keys to move the circle up 6 pixels and left 6 pixels.
Feather the circle.
Right click on the top slider. Type 8. Enter.
Right click on the bottom slider. Type 75. Enter.
     
           
  Center another circle on top.
Fill the circle with color R185 G98 B0.
Use your arrow keys to move the circle up 25 pixels and left 25 pixels.
Feather the circle.
Right click on the top slider. Type 12. Enter.
Right click on the bottom slider. Type 87. Enter.
Apply a radial transparency.
Right click the slider. Type 160. Enter.
     
           
  Copy and paste the circle that you just modified.
Use your arrow keys to move the circle up 5 pixels and left 5 pixels.
     
           
  Copy and paste the circle that you just moved.
Use your arrow keys to move the circle up 5 pixels and left 5 pixels.
     
           
  Select the remaining circle.
Move it to the front.
Center it.
     
           
  With the circle selected, click on "Paint on Object".
Select "Clone from Bottom Layers".
Select the square brush on the right side.
     
           
  Paint the entire circle.
Click on the "Object Selector" arrow to leave the paint screen.
Copy and paste the painted circle into a new document.
     
           
  Apply a drop shadow.
Right click on the top slider. Type 10. Enter.
Right click on the middle slider. Type 168. Enter.
Right click on the bottom slider. Type 60. Enter.
     
           
  Apply a soft outline.
Right click on the slider. Type 142. Enter.
Change the color to R64 G0 B0.
     
           
  Add some feathered, white circles for highlights.
Top left : Top slider 8, Bottom slider 75, Resized to 12 pixels, 5 copies.
Next: Top slider 5, Bottom slider 19, Resized to 9 pixels, 3 copies.
Next: Top slider 8, Bottom slider 75, Resized to 9 pixels, 3 copies.
Next: Top slider 8, Bottom slider 75, Resized to 12 pixels, 2 copies.
     
           
  That's it! Your very own customizable glass ball.
Customizable? Sure.
Try making another one using different colors.
Vary the color or size of the highlights. Maybe a different color shadow.

On this one, I got a different look by selecting the painted circle.
Clicked on "Paint on Object".
Changed the Mode to Difference.
Selected an airbrush and painted over the circle.
Then, I changed the outline color to match.
